OUR PHILOSOPHY

Get in touch. There's no obligation.

Search engine optimisation companies have about as good a reputation as estate agents or, dare we say, politicians, and not without reason.

Search engine optimisation companies have about as good a reputation as estate agents or, dare we say, politicians, and not without reason.

The SEO market is still evolving, with a high level of competition but few established standards, partly due to a widespread lack of knowledge on the part of clients as to what SEO is, how it works and what can reasonably be expected.

This lack of knowledge is exploited by many SEO companies who:

  • offer services that are totally unnecessary (monthly submission to hundreds, if not thousands, of search engines, link building that has little effect on rankings and none on direct referrals, for example)
  • offer minimum contract periods with no definitive performance-related aspect

  • offer guaranteed top 10 Google rankings (but - it turns out subsequently - for search terms that are virtually never used)

  • use unscrupulous – ‘black hat’ – techniques that may achieve short-term results but risk suspension or deletion from search engine databases, including Google.

Our philosophy is slightly different...

We will:

  • only offer services that are relevant to and of practical benefit to the client
  • advise the client what we believe to be realistically achievable

  • remember that although they may be found with the help of search engines, web sites are for humans!

  • not promise that we can get your site to top spot in Google by Monday morning against 10,000,000 competing web pages! (And, we'd be grateful if you didn't expect next Tuesday either!)

  • usually quote largely on the basis of outcomes achieved rather than work done

  • only ever use good practice - 'white hat' - search engine optimisation techniques

We also:

  • recognise that high search engine rankings and referrals are only part of the process - not the end objective - for most clients. The ultimate objective is usually the conversion of visitors to sales and maximising the client's return on his/her on-line investment

  • seek to establish long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with clients. Achieving optimum web site performance requires skill, persistence and consistency over time...

  • seek to provide a cost-effective, one-stop service to clients, incorporating web design, search engine optimisation, Internet marketing and related services
