The College's web site has a lot of content, all of it well written and 'on topic'. Given this, we advised that no changes be made to the visible text of the web site in order to try and make it more attractive to search engines. In the quest for the highest possible search engine rankings it is easy to forget who a web site is ultimately for - real-life human beings who might be interested in your products or services!

There is little point in focusing all your efforts on writing text designed exclusively with search engine robots in mind if humans are appalled by your endeavours when they finally arrive at your site!

Our approach was simply to work with the existing web site content and to apply a range of good practice search engine optimisation techniques to optimise this content for the major search engines. We also ensured that a Google Sitemap is in place. This will allow Google to efficiently and accurately index the College's web site pages.
